The story that I'm currently writing is Rivyn Rock. The story follows Serena and Lyrix, a mother and daughter seeking a new start in Serena's hometown of Rivyn Rock. People from all around come to take a peek at this exquisite piece of beauty found in the Ozark Mountains. It's a tourist hotspot, but it's also a protected conservation area with a few mysteries (and plenty of conspiracies) and only a few visitors are allowed at a time on top of the mountain village, where everything seems like a dream, especially to the vacationers that visit there each year. But to the people that live there, some things just aren't what they seem, and Lyrix is about to uncover the truth behind Rivyn Rock.
The exact genre... I'm still working out.
